Many people believe that sun damage only happens with long term exposure. In fact, most of the sun damage that occurs is from ambient exposure, not deliberate tanning. Walking to the mailbox, driving in the car, sitting by the window at work- all of those small acts add up to damaging sun exposure that causes eventual damage. Every time you have unprotected exposure, damage is accumulating that will eventually show up as wrinkles, sagging skin, sun spots and skin cancer. Wear a sunscreen with a minimum SPF30 at all times during the day.
